2005 grand caravan, how to stop flashing lights every time open side doors, appreceiate your help, thank u very much!!!... mountain

 

I'd say check the owners manual or run it up to the shop...but in all out honesty I think you have a poltergeist with you.

Thanks for the reply on the 2005 grand caravan flashing lights...I believe the owners man. states that when either side door opens the hazard flashers go off for 10 seconds or so to warn people that someone might be exiting from the vehicle but in my case I don't need this feature. Wondering how I could disconnect, any help would be appreciated.

welcome to DF, im movign this to the caravan section, it'll get mroe hits there and hopefully get u an anwser

 

If yout take it to a Dodge dealership they can probably disconnect it for you.

Instructions are given at least in my 2006 Grand Caravan manual, page 30. It says the procedure is...
1. Place the key in the ignition switch
2. Cycle the ignition switch on/off four times ending in the off position (do not start the engine).
3. Within 10 seconds of the final cycle, press the hazard switch
4. A single chime will sound to signify that you have successfully completed the programming.

You can turn the feature back on by repeating the above procedure.
