04 Caravan Passanger Freezing/Draft
Hi Folks,
We own and love our 2004 Dodge Caravan Anniversary Edition with the 3.3, 275,000 km's. Runs like a top.
Since replacing the blower 3 years ago there is a cold air draft on the passenger side. It results in my wife freezing and myself sweating as she needs more heat! With our Canadian winter on the way, I'd like to get this problem solved. I have searched this forum and found nothing that helped.
Tonight I took the blower housing off and noticed two things. I had disabled the cold air door activator 3 years ago, keep that in mind.
1. The activator on the bottom of the housing was loose. I must not have tighten it down 3 years ago. Would this cause the issue?
2. When the cold air door is closed (and it is because I taped it closed 3 years ago), it does not appear to seal tight. Would it helped if I sealed the door closed?
3. With my backyard car fixing experienced I put my head under the blower without the housing on and looked up to see if I could find other issues. There is duct work that goes towards the firewall and I have to assume this is how the fan feeds cold or warm air to all the vents. I did not see anything else that might cause the issue.
Thoughts? Anyone else have this issue?

The door you call the cold air door is the recirculation door, kinda wraps around the blower motor. It picks weather you get fresh air or air from inside the vehicle. It would have no effect on warm or cold to much extent. If you have a hepa filter there is a cover down there that has been known to fall off, left side of the foot well. That would let air from outside enter the passenger compartment. You could also have a blend door issue. Why is the actuator for the recirculation door not hooked up?
You can run a system calibration to see if the blend doors are working but it would fail if the recirc. door isn't connected
