Default 03 Caravan SE 3.3L...anyone have a light?

Hopefully I don't appear ignorant here, I'm quite frustrated at this point. First of all, I'm from Ontario, Canada and am having a problem finding what I'm looking for here. Last week we came out of a store to our lovely van that wouldn't start. Lots of power and you could hear it cycle through the relays, but no starter. We've since checked what we think is just about everything, and having read here earlier today, I surmised the problem is the PCM. I finally lost it long enough to get the hubby to go back to the auto wreckers with the fuse box as ours seems good and swapped it with a PCM from another 03. Lo and behold the van starts! And stalls about 10 seconds later, until it doesn't start again. I have since read that the PCM would most likely need to be flashed, if we didn't burn it out. I have no idea where to send it here. Anyone have a solution for me? Tyvm.

You have to find a shop with a DRB3 scanner or the Dealer to program your used PCM. It died 10 second after because the Security system lock you out due to Mis-match Keys.

Thanks Steak59. Called the dealer today and he says we can't use the PCM we got from the junkyard because of some chip or something in the side of the vehicle. I don't know what is all involved with the flashing, but thought it required the Vin, PCM and keys. I don't know what to do.

PCM may also be sensitive to your VIN - make sure you have the right one

is perfectly fine 2 reprogram a used PCM on a 2003 Minivan. Done it personally. The Newer one like 08 are no longer reprogrammable.

Tell you what, you can buy a pre-programmed, plug and play PCM from PCM rebuilders such as

http://allcomputerresources.com/

with limited lifetime warranty. Only hassle is you have to wait few days for shipping via mail.

@Fredge1 - I'm guessing that may be why from what I have read they ask for your VIN to program.

@steak59 - I've emailed the folks from the link you provided as I don't see a listing for 03 Dodge Caravan, unless I'm blind, which very well may be. When the hubby called the stealership yesterday and again this morning, they want $850+ for the PCM, the programming is extra and he didn't ask how much but I can imagine, plus towing the vehicle to them. I do not plan on having this vehicle around longer than the winter as in 2.5 years we've put $5000+ into it and the breaking-down-leaving-you-stranded syndrome continues, hence why I am so frustrated with it. Thanks again for your help.
