Unhappy key stock in ignition

My car is a dodge grand caravan 2009 se 3.3l

The problem start 2 days ago.

I arrived at work and put the car in park and try to remove the key but it's stuck at acc position. So I think I did it to fast and try to push the brake reengage the drive and place the shifter in park again. The key turn to the off position no problem. But from this time I have to do it at least twice to remove the key. Now by ear I know when it will stuck by the sound of the lock, when I place the shifter in park. Normal sound was click and unnormal sound was a smaller click (like slick). I call the dealer here in Canada and they tell me the win module is 300$ + programmation 50$ + labor 1h30 + tax, at the end more than 600$.

Is there a way to bypass this problem without changing the win module?

What is the way to fix that at less expensive.

If I change the win by my self can I program the key by my self?

After this long story, in your knowledge what is my options.

Thanks for your advise

Shift cable could be out of adjustment.

I proceeded to the test of the cable and all is adjusted properly. So it's definitely not the cable.

I discovered when the key is stock in acc position, the only thing I have to do is to push the button on the shifter again and hold for 2 seconds and release it again. This action makes the lock disengage and engage. No need to change gear or move the shifter arm.

There's still a problem the key continues to remain stock. More ideas would be appreciated.

Thanks

found this.....

Ensure that shifter returns fully to gated park position (all the way forward in vehicle). - If shifter cannot return to park position, adjust transmission shift cable. - Adjust cable only when shifter is in gated park and transmission is in park lock. Ensure that shift **** button is out when shifter is in park position. - If shift **** button sticks in, replace shift **** and button. If key trap condition still occurs, remove shift **** and instrument panel cluster bezel to give access to shifter assembly. Unplug shifter electrical connector and perform continuity check at WIN module 12-way wire harness connector. CONTINUITY CHECK Probe pin 12 of wire harness (lower left looking into terminals) Circuit should be Yellow/Dark Blue Confirm that Ground is present when shifter is in PARK and Confirm that circuit is open when shifter is NOT in PARK If continuity is correct in PARK and the key still cannot be rotated to the off position - Replace the WIN module If continuity is not correct for either condition - Replace the shifter. If continuity is correct and key allows rotation to the OFF positon, repeat continuity check with shift **** reinstalled. If continuity is not correct in PARK - Replace the shift ****.

Long time no news about this but the problem not reappear. I don't known if the way I use to remove the key did the job but I do not have to push the button on the shifter more than once for more than two weeks now.

Thanks for your help
