Default clicking on hard left turn

2010 Grand caravan has a click, click, click, click, click or maybe more of a pop in the left front wheel area when making hard left turns at slow speeds Like in a parking lot or pulling out of the driveway. Its pretty loud when it does it and seems to be getting worse, like i used to have to turn the wheel as far as possible to do it and now i dont have to turn it quite as much. Anybody have this problem and can guide me to the answer that would be great! Thank you

probably going to need an axle. if you alrdy made sure there are no loose wheel or brake components.

Sounds like a typical failed right side outboard CV joint. Seems a bit early for it to fail though. Take a look at the CV joints boot. If it's cracked open and there's grease all over the wheel well, pretty good bet the joint is shot. As steak stated, change the whole axle.

Ill check it later today for cracks or tares in boot. Any good way to determine for sure if i dont find anything wrong with the boot?

There's a disconnect. You're saying left side I'm saying right - if it's a CV joint. Head to an empty parking lot open the windows and listen for the click on slow turns to confirm which side. Normal fail mode for a outboard CV joint is when it is under load such as in a turn. The loaded side, in your case the right side in a left turn, loads the joint making it click if it's worn.

Boot not torn? Tough to prove at that point but you could try this. Put it on jack stands, have someone try to rotate each wheel while you hold the axle still as best you can. If one has noticeably more free play than the other, it's a good bet the joint is bad.

When i turn the wheel all the way to the left and drive it, even at just 1 mile per hour i hear it in the left drivers side Pretty loud. I wouldnt think there would be much of a load at such a low speed of 1-2 mph. Ill try what you said as soon as i can. Between work and kids football it may be a couple days.
