Name that part
Howdy y'all.I'd appreciate it if anyone happens to know the name of this missing part on a 2006 Grand Caravan with 3.8:

The lower line runs back toward the rear of the car. Other pertinent details might be that the car ran hot and pours water from the water pump when you pour it into the radiator. Thanks!

I'm guessing your van is somewhere between 2001 & 2007.
If this picture is what I believe it is, and you are talking about the piece broken off in the end of the short rubber hose, that is the Water Pump Nipple (part number 4621652AC) it presses into the back of the timing chain cover, right behind the water pump. The rest of the nipple is probably stuck in the timing chain cover and might be difficult to remove.
The steel tube connected to the other end of the short rubber hose is the "Heater Return Tube".

PS it helps other help you if you include details such as model, year & engine size.

That is the A/C evaporator drain, I believe it should have a 90 degree rubber drain hose attached (my 2001 does). I couldn't find a part number for a 2006 but the part number for 2001 and 2002 is 56000724AB. I read on another forum that that part also fit on a 2003, so it may fit your 2006 as well.

Thanks, y'all. I was going to fix it myself, but it looks like I won't have time. At least I can tell the folks at the shop what's wrong. Here's a story for you: The van ran hot while my wife was driving it a couple of miles from home. I picked her up and drove back to see if some water wouldn't get it home. Finding that it would not, I went back to get her to steer it while I towed it with my jeep. I get her and get back to the van, and while backing up to the van the jeep died. That's right, both of my vehicles were broken down in the same spot at the same time. I have had both for at least a couple years with nary a problem.
Oh, and today I made a trip of a few hours away in my employer-provided 2007 Explorer. When I got back in it to drive home the blower started making a loud noise and vibrating the whole vehicle. I won't be buying any lottery tickets this week.
Thanks again!
