Default 96 caravan crawling up hills???

Hi, I have a 96 dodge caravan has 151,000 miles on it!!! I just had the timing belt replaced a few weeks agof, new catalytic converter/muffler replaced too!!! It does burn oil (smokes)!!!

My problem is the van when going up any incline/hill loses power - it bogs down??? Could this be a sensor or maybe the timing belt was not calibrated correctly??? Any help would be appreciated, my mechanic is at a loss here???? Thank you Tracy

Since it smokes I would do a compression test and I would also do a fuel pressure and volume test. Have the codes scanned on the computer.
