[4th Gen : 01-07]: power window goes up but not down
I have a 2006 Grand Caravan. The passenger side window will go up, but only the driver can put it down. I've had other problems previously, but not like this one. Pulling that one fuse (cannot remember the name), disconnecting the battery, I even remember something about slamming the passenger door while...
I have yet to try any of the tricks, but thought I'd ask first. I work a 60 hour week and wanted to see if I could get a head start here from all you nice folks before I go disconnecting anything.
Thanks in advance...

You may have a bad switch in the passenger door or the child lock is on. Will the master switch roll the window up and down? If it does, I would replace the passenger switch.
Sorry to be late in getting back. That is what I thought, but being a newbie, I wanted another opinion. Thanks for taking the time to reply. I will give it a try.
Okay... so it took me 4 months to get this taken care of, but I wanted everyone to know that I replaced the switch in the passenger door and that fixed it.
HOWEVER... about one month AFTER I replaced it, the window will NOT go up or down. I tried disconnecting the battery and removing the OID fuse to no avail.
When I push the passenger window button, I can tell the switch is getting power since the interior lights dim a little bit.
Any suggestions?

More than likely you'll be changing the window regulator assembly. Here's what you're looking at to change it. Your 2006 is little different from the 2002 depicted. Prices range from $20 off the internet to around $120 at the dealership. I've had good luck with Dorman assemblies off Amazon for around $70.

That vid that Cougar posted is exceptionally well done
However, if you might consider trying one much simpler thing, before doing this fairly involved job. The motor cover comes off easily just by undoing the 2 screws holding it on. I did this last Spring and brushed off all of the carbon dust that had accumulated over the years, and it hasn't failed once in the past 11 months. These motors are completely sealed up, and the dust has no way to get out. JMO, but I believe this is the cause of many of these window problems. I didn't "invent" this fix - just picked it up on another forum from folks having had success with it, and am passing the information along. It's a very easy thing to try, and best of all the cost is zero
