ATF+4 has been mandated for use in all A604/41TE and other Chrysler transmissions since a TSB published around 2004. Reason being they stopped making ATF+3 because of improvements in ATF+4 fluid. This thread dates to 2005. Should be disregarded, better yet, deleted.
I've been using ATF+4 in my 96 since 2006. It works just fine. No leaks, no shudder.
