Default 1998 torque converter clutch solenoid

Hi guys. Alright, I have a 1998 Dodge Grand Caravan and according to the error code, I have a bad torque converter clutch solenoid. How difficult is this to replace? Also, how critical is it? I am really busy the next week or so and then have to drive a couple thousand miles. Thanks for all the info, also, if possible, I would be doing the work on it myself.

Assuming it has the a670 3-speed auto?

If so it's located on the front of the trans. It's a round plug vertically oriented. It's a pain to replace, but can be unplugged if you can deal with the cel and higher rpms while cruising.

If it is the 31TH/A670 transmission. Its easy after you remove the valve body. But if its the 41TE/A604, Then you need to diagnose the problem with a scanner.

It is a 4 speed auto. I will have to check tomorrow to see what the exact designation of it is.
