I have 2000 dodge caravan the Codes come up PO700 which means transmission problems then the second code is PO733 gear 3 incorrect ratio that is fine. But what does it mean & how do you fix it? What is the diagnostic tree for PO733? NEED HELP, THANKS: I changed the transmission solenoid pack, input,output speed sensors,filter oil ATF+4 but it is still in limp mode. Help
I have taken the cable off the battery to clear the codes & engine light then I put the scanner on and PO733 has come up about 3,4, times every time. THANKS:

 

Now if you drive the van, Does it shift from 1st to 2nd and then into limp in? If it does, Then the transmission may have a broken hub with shaft. That means the problem is inside the transmission.

 

Can be caused by slipping clutches. Have the CVI numbers checked to verify.

 

That's very true. A clutch test would also verify if 3rd gear is slipping. Because slipping or broken hub, will have a RPM reading when it should be at zero.
