I'm not interested in sat radio as it is not free, I got a large music library, but I'm realy interested in a navigation system however $1300 for a factory one I may have to go the aftermarket way, Any word on what is the best speakers.
I was at frys and played with several 6x9 speakers on display one pair only Infinity Reference 9603ix Speakers has the best sound, crispy sound with powerfull base, So I went ahead and pulled the trigger on 2 pairs at ebay for almost half price. Now those are 3-way speakers do you guys think that I need to upgrade the stock tweeters or those on 3-way speakers should be enough?
Yes they are for the front door and rear side panels, havn't got them yet, a subwoofer addition is still an option the only thing is holding me back is runing the positive wire all the way to the back, I don't mind removing door panels but removing the floor is a hassle.
It depends on how they sound to you. These speakers are for the doors right? Have you hooked them up and how do they sound?
I got the speakers, but still waiting on the connector adapters, Didn't know that Infinity Reference 9603ix don't fit on my van, should have listened to crutchfield, Anyways had to grind all arround the speaker hole to get the speakers to fit in the cavity and drilled speakers' holes bigger so the screws can allign with panel holes, the rear ones were easy because they mount on sheet metal used my angel grinder and worked fast but front ones they mount on the inner plastic panel, grinding it was a little bit tough,Anyways I liked the way the speakers perform and made them fit even when they didn't, I will feedback when I connect them and post how they sound compared to the crappy stock ones.
The problem with those Chinese radios is they don't last long and because they use cheap electronic components the sound never been clear, there is a lot of static and background noise, I've made a mistake already buying one of those 3 years ago, now it's in the closet collecting dust.
