Key fob does not work, even after changing the battery

My key fob does not work. I changed the battery and it still does not work. I went to a dodge dealer and they wanted $250.00 for a new one. Does anyone know of a less expensive way to solve the non working key fob

if it starts the car, it's programmed. Maybe the contacts came loose from the circuit board

Google "key fobs". Plenty of online source replacements depending on the model year that I don't see posted.
