I have noticed an intermettant problem when locking doors with the remote key, the headlights would turm ON and stay that way for about 2 minutes and they turn OFF, It doesn't happen every time, I also find out that opening the door and cycling the headlight switch to ON and OFF the headlights will turn off right away, Any idea how to fix this problem?

 

Does it only happen in low light conditions?

 

From reading around the net many Chrysler made vehicles have a headlight delay off feature that's adjustable by either you pushing buttons or a dealership using a scanner. Whether it activates or not can depend on how light or dark out it is. Anything in your owners manual about it?

 

I havn't tried it in the day, but at night it doesn't happen all the time, so I know it's an intermettant problem.

 

The powers that be say you own an 08 so you may have a TIPM headed south. It controls headlights and RKE and SRS functions. Check for corrosion or damage on the connections. You could have it reprogrammed but considering the intermittent nature I'd think the previous is more likely.

 

on my 2010 SE caravan. i use the dome light switch and turn it off somehow keeps the daylight from staying on to long as well.

 

Yeah that's weired, mine does that 1 out of 15, and even if it does the headlights will turn off after one or two minutes so it shouldn't drain the battery, I probably just live with it as the warranty run out and I don't want to deal with those reduculous dealer fees.
