Default Can't get drivers side axle out.

Does the drivers side axle come out the same as the passengers side? What I mean is just a little bit of prying.

Yep, usually get behind It with a pry bar and pop it with a hammer

I can't seem to find a good place to pry.the other side had a nice spot to place the bar. I'm probably just being to gentle. I just don't want break something.

Just behind the boot is usually a notch in the metal housing. Place the end of a pry bar or large screw driver in the notch and then hit the end of the prybar with a hammer.

There's a notch but not enough to get a good bite on it. I will look again. There is a thick steel ring that bolts to the trans. It has six bolts I removed. It comes apart about a 1/2" and seems to move with the axle. but doesn't come all the way off. I have to push the axle in to get it back to the trans. I will put some bolts back in and look for the notch. Thanks be back in a minute.

Got it. Jacked the car up some more and sharpend my bar. Still, surprised it came out. The notch could have been deeper. I'd like to take a grinder to it for the next guy. Thanks Tizzy1. Any idea where the crank position sensor is.
