[5th Gen : 08+]: 08 caravan ABS, esp/bas, traction lights on
Was driving my 08 grand caravan 3.3L home and the ABS, esp and traction light come on. They have stayed on for 3 days. I can turn the traction control off but it comes on approx 10 minutes later. I tested on ice to see if the ABS is working at all and nothing. Is there anything I can check before taking it to the dreaded dealership. Can the wheel speed sensors be checked? Are they part of wheel bearing assembly? All but on wheel bearings have been changed in past year. Thank you in advance for any help.
I've read of folks checking resistance through the coils in the sensors. Just need an ohmmeter. Make sure the sensor pickups are free of road debris and undamaged. That said, connecting a capable scanner to read the codes would save time and probably money in the long run.
