Cool Noise from rear brakes.

2008 Grand Caravan, 3.3 flex fuel.
Making a clacking noise, but when I apply brakes it stops.
Any idea what it can be?

Also remotes for doors don't operate most of the time. I was told the contacts can be cleaned on receiver in door, anybody ever done that?

One more thing, when stopping I hear a noise sounds like a rubbing/squishy sound that I only hear at low speeds.

Thanks for any help!!

Clacking noise appears to be on the rear.

brocal04,

I'm sorry to hear about the clanking noise you're hearing. In the case of worn pads, a continuous noise can be heard when replacement is necessary. It is possible your brake pads may required attention. It would be beneficial to have the brake system examined to determine the root cause of the issue.

When did you first notice the noise?

Keep us posted if you can,
