Default 1998 caravan electrical issues

1998 Grand Caravan 3.8 V6, I replaced the OEM stereo, now my keyless entry doesn't work. Along with that nothing works without the key on. (i.e. power locks, interior lights etc...) Any thoughts??

I would start checking fuses in the PDC and Fuse block too.

i've checked and double checked. Does the security system run through the deck? There was a 2-wire plug on the back of the deck, seperate from the harness, that i cant find mention of anywhere. I cant arm or dis-arm the alarm at all. And like I said the key has to be in the on position for the power locks and interior lights to function at all.

Looking through wiring diagrams I don't see that the radio is tied to the VTSS system on your model year van. Could be all you need to do is reset the data bus. You can pull the IOD fuse in the PDC or disconnect the negative battery cable for 5 minutes. The RKE system is deactivated when a van arrives at a dealership. The dealer installs the IOD fuse to reactivate it and the rest of the data bus. Could be that circuit needs a wake up call.

Well, in my checking of fuses I missed a little mini fuse off in the corner labeled IOD. Thank you very much it was blown. I am now back in business. Thanks again.
