[4th Gen : 01-07]: 2006 caravan coolant temp sensor location
Hey guys, I've been looking online for the location of the ect location on the 06 caravan with the 3.3 engine. I've heard that it's under the distributor block, but I don't want to tear apart my sister in laws van just looking for something. If anyone has a picture of it, I would be EXTREMELY grateful. I just replaced the cooling fan relay which was bad, but it seems the ect is also bad. But hey, at least the fans are getting power now.
Thank you all in advance.

I posted a diagram in this thread:2008 dodge grand caravan
Although that thread was for a 2008 the image posted was for a 2001. The biggest difference for the 2001-2007 models is you need to remove the power steering reservoir first in order to remove the coil pack.
You will need to remove two bolts at the top of the reservoir and loosen one nut under the rear of the reservoir. You don't need to remove the hoses, you can just hold the reservoir out of the way to remove the coil pack.
The following quote (from this thread power steering pump failure) has a good description on how to access the hidden nut under the reservoir:

...Also be advised that the single bolt in the center of the reservoir is hidden from sight. If you know how to get at it correctly, it will take around 30 seconds to loosen (not remove). However, if you don't go about it right, you will end up spending lots of time, and probably say a few bad words along the way. Easiest by far for me is to use socket on the end of around 9" of extension, starting at the firewall, but without the ratchet attached. Then snake it through the maze of wires and hoses (think of it like an arrow), and end up with the socket at the underside of the reservoir. Then pop the ratchet on and just loosen it up. You can get a single finger of your left hand onto the head of the bolt to locate it, and then use that as a target for the socket to find. It took me much longer to write this, than to actually do that job. Very, very fast and easy if you do it right!...
