Default 14 tow package and hitch

So i just wanted some feedback as to what is actually factory included with the tow / hitch setup on a 14 Grand Caravan.

I recently (last week) purchased a new 30th anniversary edition GC, which didn't have the hitch, so had the dealer include the hitch in the sale.

four days later, after the undercoat, etc, when i went to pick up the vehicle, no hitch... wonderful..

so we take the vehicle back for a day for them to install the hitch. got it back yesturday, and start looking around, cant for the life of me find a wiring harness anywhere at the back (pin connectors)..
called the dealership again, and sales guy said they often tuck it up into the bumper, and please have another look.

So i'll look again when i get home today, but i had basically stuck my head under the bumper and couldn't see any connectors anywhere..

So I would like to know, for those who got a factory hitch, what was included?
just the 4 pin, or a 4+7, or just a 7, and where the heck is it?

my utility trailer has a 7pin connector, so regardless i will need a 7.

also, I haven't seen a whiff or hint of a wiring adapter for a brake controller either. again, does that come with, or is that something i'm going to have to source? stuck my head in at the gas pedal, and couldn't find a brake controller connection from a quick look.. is it in there somewhere?

Thanks

Check the battery. At the positive terminal you should have one main cable and if you have a wiring harness there should be a second, smaller wire running straight towards the firewall. If that smaller cable isn't there you don't have a wiring harness.

I'm not sure if the '14s are any different but the Mopar wire harness for the earlier 5th gens includes wiring for a trailer brake controller. The instructions say to coil and stow it behind the headlight switch. If you open the driver's door you should be able to remove the side panel right next to the headlight switch, that's where the trailer brake controller wiring should be stowed.

progbably your you bought is not a true equipped trailer package. mine at the time I paid extra 2010 model for that option. it did not come with hitch but what did come with is a harness for the 4 wire connectors. take out each rear lights and plug n play. the other things it came with is tranny cooler. engine oil cooler. and I believe rear shocks stabilizers keeps vehicle level.
I ended up wiring a brake controller with 7 pin connector on a hiddin hitch clase 3-4.

well, i found the wiring.. joke..

yup.. a 4 pin connector wired under the carpet in the back of the vehicle (big bump), and just run up the back and into the rear..
not anchored at all either.. i could grab this and pull it all right out.
just hanging there..

and what do they tell me..?
"Oh, that's how they install in", just hang it out the door.

I am beyond words frustrated at this dealer right now.
