Thank you for starting a new post. Did you have transmission control module scan for stored or active codes? You vehicle does have a TCM as well as a PCM. When a problem with the transmission, the TCM will informed the PCM to kick the check engine light on. Will the van roll with the key on and engine off and in neutral? From what you are posting, I would only guess the problem is internal.

it will roll with the key on and in neutral but wont roll in neutral with the engine running. i was driving down the freeway and it sounded like it backfired and than stalled. i managed to start it on the off ramp in neutral but when i came to a stop and put it in gear it locked up and woudnt move until i turned the key off so i coasted in a 7/11 and then turned it off and than it only had reverse. i pulled out the speed sensors and one of them had a little afro of metal shavings but the pan was spotless. after that i started it again and it would lunge forward but had to rev it up to get it to go and then wouldnt go in reverse. anyone ever have this happen?. thank you for the help.
