I have a 2002 Grand caravan in my possession. My brother drives it the most and I drove it to work on Monday. There is a weird and loud grinding noise coming from the front of the vehicle when I try to press on the gas pedal. Does anyone have or had this problem? HELP.

 

You need to specify if this noise only starts when the van begins to move, or if it also happens if it's in park and you rev up the engine. Assuming it's a motion-only noise, and it's metalic, the first suspect would be brake pads and perhaps rotors needing to be replaced. There are other possibilities, such as wheel bearings, as well. If it's not motion-only, then you can raise the hood and have someone rev the engine while you try to pinpoint exactly where the noise is coming from.
