Update - First of all, never read the codes from the display by using the key - I have heard from more than a couple mechanics, this does not give you an accurate reading of what's wrong - use a true code reader!
I found out from a mechanic a friend of mine put me in touch with the following:
A) needs a new wiper motor
B) needs a new coil for cylinder #4 (was only firing/running on 5 cylinders)
These 2 issues are remedied.
He also has fixed my intake manifold upper issue apparently.
However.... he also told me there seems to be wiring fault somewhere that is causing some kind of problem, and is working on figuring that out.
So, in all this time, I have not driven the fan. So yah....headaches continue.

Look for a brown and/or black connector, rectangle in shape at the air cleaner end of the intake. I have fixed quite a few for corrosion issues inside the connectors.
