Default 2000 Caravan 3.0 Transmission pan leak

I have tried a couple different gaskets and can't seem to get it to seal. Keeps leaking. It's a rubber gasket. I don't see any damage to the pan itself.
Can I use the rubber gasket with sealant, or is that risky as far as getting sealant in the trans oil?

I am pretty sure it's not the solenoid pack that's leaking.

What torque are you using on the pan nuts? And did you inspect the trans cooler lines?

Sorry I haven't got back on. Just been putting in fluid. Now it's worse time to do something, didn't think it was solenoid but now it is, I can see where it's weeping out. Can I just change gasket or do i need to change solenoid. Don't have any shifting problems.

Real question is do you want to pull it twice or once? You have to pull it to replace the seal, makes sense to replace the unit itself. BW makes a good replacement.
