Smile 2006 GC power rear vent window problem

It's a 2003 not a 2006, don't know how the title changed from '03 to '06

Am having trouble w/the RH power rear vent window, opens OK, but doesn't want to close. If you try the switch 20-30-40 or more times it will eventually work. Would this be a switch problem? Or is there a relay somewhere that might be a problem with?
Ifn it's the switch, how is it removed/replaced?
Anyone have a wiring diagram for this?

TIA, Ken

Just based on the odds the switch is fine, the window motor is on it's way out. This is a common fault with a common fix. Not to say it's not worth testing the switch. No there's no relevant relay. Send me a private message and include an email address to send the diagram to.

Ifn it is the motor going out as you suggested, how does one go about accessing it?
Looks like one big piece of plastic back there.

TIA, Ken

Thanks, now I just have to source a motor.

BTW, FWIW, I just hate all that plastic stuff w/clips that tend to break, rather have screws.

Amazon has them for $60. May find them cheaper elsewhere. I wouldn't recommend one off a junker. These motors are cheap and fail often. Once you get access you can test the switch from the motor connector. Should see 12vdc at pins 2 or 3 depending on which way you push the switch. X2 on those clips. They can be a PITA. If you run into a stubborn one slip putty knives on either side of it and pry. They do make a tool just for these clips.

Did you get the diagram? Was having problems.

Didn't get the diagram. That's my fault, I gave you my email address as dotcom and it should be dotca. Sorry about that.

Can the motor be repaired?
I did one on an Aerostar a few years ago and all the motor needed was new brushes. Couldn't source the proper brushes so I made some by cutting down GM alternator brushes.

Ok. Tried it again and it looks like it went through from this end.

Fix the motor? I think they are sealed but you'll have to look. I know you can change brushes on the door window motors. Alternator brushes? That's American ingenuity!
