Thats a check engine light. You have something wrong with a sensor somewhere. Get the code read and post back. (as long as your not talking about the safety belt light). If you have an owners manual, read it. It tells you what all the dash lights mean. Most auto parts stores will read the codes for you. Otherwise, spend $20 and buy yourself one. Invaluable for todays cars.

The check engine lamp (MIL) can illuminate for a number of reasons, including a loose gas cap or even poor fuel quality. If the light does not disappear after several normal drive cycles, or begins to flash, it is recommended that you bring the vehicle to your servicing Dodge dealer.
... or cycle the key from off to on/run (not start) three times then leave it on. Read the codes on the EVIC or odometer. May have to apply emergency brake first.
Here's examples of inexpensive code readers the moderator was talking about: http://www.amazon.com/s/ref=nb_sb_no...bd+code+reader
Parts stores like AutoZone or Pepboys will read codes for free as stated.
