Default 2008 Grand Caravan Air Bag

My air bag light recently came on and at about the same time the van will not start if it sits for two days without a jump or charge from a battery charger. From what I have read the ORC module possible got wet from a improperly installed grommet can cause this. Is it possible that this module could be causing a parasitic drain on the battery? If so can I unplug this module to stop the drain until my service appointment or is it best to pull the fuse?

Thanks

It's possible. Prove it. With ignition off and all doors closed disconnect the negative battery cable then connect an ammeter in series between the cable end and the negative battery post. Let the van sit undisturbed for 15 minutes. The meter should then read below 30 milliamps. If it's much higher pull 10 amp fuse M29 (ORC controller). If the meter drops back into spec you found your culprit system. You then have to disconnect each of the systems sensors to see if one of those is the culprit.

Before disconnecting the battery pull the entrainment system (MYGig?) fuse. That keeps the system from dumping the software per TSB 08-003-09

Get the dealer to do the ORC recall and the A/C drain grommet recall.

Then do a draw test after it's done.

Both fuses are covered by a yellow plastic cover. Any idea how this comes off? Tried prying it up with my fingernail but it didn't want to budge, don't want to break it.

Thanks

I have a appointment with the dealer for the recall but it's not for two weeks, earliest they could get me in.
