So, I bought this 2013 Grand Caravan SXT. I really feel the transmission is having issues. Slow to engage, slow shifts both up and down. Dealer tells me, because this is a 'by wire' not hydraulic transmission, this is normal.

Well, is it? After all the problems I had with my Dakota Transmission, I tend to not believe what the dealer is saying. If it is, I'll get used to it, eventually, but if it isn't, and the dealer is just trying to flake out, not that uncommon, it'll keep going back until it gets fixed.

 

Is it the same 6 speed auto used in other vehicles? Like the Journey? I have no issues like you mention. Just the clunking every now and then.
