Default Brake warning light

2004 dodge grand caravan red brake warning light on. Started intermittently now on all the time, checked fluid level and wiring all looks good. Abs light has been on for a year only recently the red brake light came on any ideas on what to check? brakes work perfectly no leaks, new pads and rotors.

The brake warning light will come on anytime the fluid level switch in the master cylinder detects low fluid or when you apply the parking brake. That's when all is working as it should. If it's not, either the switch in the master cylinder or on the parking brake assembly could be bad or there's a wiring problem. If using a meter you find continuity (0 ohms/resistance) at either switch you found your problem that is as long as your fluid level is in spec or the parking brake is completely released.

Replaced brake fluid sensor in the master cylinder and brake warning light immediately went out, hope it stays off! Easy 8$ fix.
