Default Sliding door locks, but won't unlock

The slider on our 95 locks, both manually and power, but once it's locked it won't unlock(all the way at least). If it gets locked it turns into tearing the door panel apart and unlocking it manually, by pushing the rod back.

Is there some adjustment or something here?
From what I can see the lock system just isn't pushing the rod quite far enough to unlock it.
Any help guys?

Unless there's something binding I would think after 20 years the lock actuator is getting week. Time to replace it.

It's actually like the rod is too short. It won't unlock all the way manually or with the power locks. I have to tear the door apart, grab the rod, and physically slide it back the extra 1/8" to get it to unlock.

If it was only with the power lock I would have thought the same thing.
