[4th Gen : 01-07]: Side Marker Lights not Working But Turn Signal Does
Here is a good one. I take my 2007 Grand Caravan in for inspection and I fail because the side-marker light does not come on when you turn on the parking lights, or whenever they are supposed to be on, but when you activate the turn signal, that works (same bulb). Any idea why this would happen or how to fix it? Anyone ever have this issue? I imagine that its not common... Thank you!
Turn sigs are controlled by the BCM. Parking lights are controlled the Front Control Module (FCM) and the park lamp relay and fused by 15 amp fuses 2 and 3. The bulbs have two elements, one for turn sigs and another for parking lights.
Not likely but you could have two bad bulbs. Just change the bulbs or you can check for power at pin 2 at the light connector. If it's there, change the bulbs or just check resistance on the across the bulb elements.
You could swap the park lamp relay with another identical relay in the IPM. You could pull the park lamp relay and jump contacts 30 and 87. Lights should light up right away, keys in your pocket. If they do you have a bad relay or FCM.
Try disconnecting the negative battery cable for 5 minutes. This will reset the data bus/BCM/FCM and maybe your lights.

Hey that'll do it. I'm a little confused (some say slow). What is the "constant light". Did you notice the color code on the wire? Any idea how it was cut?
