I have seen dozens of vans from that era with the leading edge of the hood completely gone, the Chrysler minivans are notorius for this.I AM hoping for better on the 2014, if I see the same results it WILL be my last Chrysler.
Mine has gotten significantly worse since my last post. I've got it bubbling on my fenders now, under the sides of the sliding doors pretty bad, the B-pillars, dogleg areas are starting to show signs of surface rust, the trunk is actually bubbling up on the outside now along the sides and one bubble has broken through the paint. Kind of sad that it went from a small area to being all the way through the metal in less than a year. My passenger door is actually rusting up behind the door panel too. How does moisture and salt even get way up in there???

One interesting thing to note, none of my doors are rusting at the bottom yet. Only on the sides where there was NO SEAM SEALER. Maybe that stuff actually does work???

I wash mine at least once a week too, so neglect on my part really doesn't seem like the issue. Just poor build quality overall.

One other thing to mention. If your van has the plastic trim covering the rockers, clean them out with a garden hose or something as often as possible. There's actually a rocker panel lip at the bottom that's hidden from sight unless you're underneath your van. Mine is starting to rust on the very edge a little bit, closest to the dogleg area. Very minor right now, but seeing how fast the other rust spread, it won't be minor for long.
