[5th Gen : 08+]: New to dodge
First off, hey y'all.
Im new to Dodge, not to the Grand Caravan, my dad owns an '03, on which I do all the work. For myself, I own a 2011 Ford Ranger FX4.
In december, the wife and I put our hand on a 2015 Grand Caravan CVP (aka AVP). This thing has no equipment, but it is sold at a decent price.
I have a few questions, which I will ask here, I searched, and found nothing.
1. The darn thing, when stopped at a red light, puts out only cold air - is this normal?
2. I do not have any fog lights on it, I will be installing some LEDs. I will be swapping headlight switches, to have OEM foglamp control. Question is: if I put in a headlamp switch with AUTO lamp on it, will I gain this feature?
3. I thought the darn thing had an OEM door trigger alarm, turn out it doesn't...Normal or not?
4. I don't have power windows on slider doors, is the mod do-able, as in, is all the linkage already in there; all that would be needed is the motor, wiring harness front and back and door panels?
Thanks for any and all input

You probably have the 3.6 VVT with 6-speed transmission, so no matter what body options you have it's relatively more efficient and reliable than other generations including most of the 5th generation which didn't have that engine till 2014. The six-speed I think was introduced 2011, and helps a lot with economy.
1. No it's an HVAC problem, probably not AC pump either, likely electronic.
2. Don't know. On previous gens you could put in an OEM controller and switch and it'd work. This is likely the case on 5th gen too because it does't make sense for a maker to change part designs so liberally..
3. Normal, especially if no power windows. Most people think the same if there are remote locks.
4. It's possible, but you're really just making your vehicle more unreliable. I'd love to have manual on mine and save on track and motor replacements which seem way to frequent on all vehicles..

For model years 2008 thru 2010, the 6-speed transmission was standard with the 3.8L and 4.0L engines, while the 3.3L had a 4-speed transmission.

The 2011 thru 2015 model years all have the 3.6L engine standard, they are also all equipped with the 6-speed transmission.
