I have a rattling/ticking noise coming from the bottom left side of my 3.3 Liter engine. I have noticed my vibration dampner wobbles...could the pulley be the problem or am a dealing with worn crank bearings?!

 

It probably is a bearing, but it's easy to mistake head noises for lower-engine too.

I've had a couple that sounded like diesel engines. I just used engine-honey and went from 5w-30 to 10w-30 high-mileage oil to damper it more.

I may be wrong, but I think running them till they break, but properly maintaining along the way, then swapping with cheap pulled engines and rebuilding or core-swapping the old, is the most economically sound strategy, especially if you can't afford thousands of dollars on the drop of a hat..
