Default Transmission won't shift to higher gears and speedometer acting up

I changed the shift control solenoid and still acting the same way. Could it be the transmission speed sensor

What is the year and model?

I know this is gonna sound odd but have you checked your Alternator? A bad diode can cause some issues.

Check the battery, have it load tested these things are dependent on good voltage and can cause weird issues,

without the year i really can't give to much info...

The member did post for 2001 to 2007, RS body. 41TE transmission. I'm guessing you have a 3.3 or 3.8 engine. I would start by doing a ohm test on the wires for the circuit. I have seen the wires short to the engine block near the starter and the fuel injection harness on the rear cylinder head.
