Any help would be appreciatted! I have a Base Caravan FWD I need to replace the drums. But I can t find the right ones. The rear axle has spindles. I have all new wheel bearings and seals, but cant find the drums anywhere. The drums are the ones that have the studs already in them. Hope someone can help. Thanks so much

 

Take a picture. The studs should be on the spindle/hub, not the drum.

 

The hub is likely stuck in the drum. If you are replacing the drums anyway drop the drum, studs up on the floor. The hub should fall out after a couple drops.

 

Thanks for the reply.I think your absolutely right. Drums are so rusted they look like all one piece. Ill upload the pics here to confirm. Tried beating them out but wont budge.

 

That's what I recalled. Same as our van and my car. Either keep working at them, or get new ones.

I couldn't get mine to budge beating them when I did the rear disc conversion on my car. Holding them about chest level and dropping them on the concrete floor worked after about the 3rd drop, the hub fell right out.

 

I got them out, Instead of dropping them, I sprayed penetrating oil around all the bases oh the studs and around the hub center. Let em soak for a few hours. Placed a used set of lugnuts on the studs and using a 2x4 and a hammer I was able to knock them loose. fell right out. Thanks for all your help, saved me alot of pain as it never occured to me that the hubs were separate from the drums. Stupid Chiltons Manual never once mentions them.
