Default Cluster Interchange

Wondering if I can swap the "premium" cluster (speedo, tach, temp, op, volt, fuel) in place of my basic cluster (speedo, fuel, temp) on my 94 Voyager?

Was hoping someone has insight to whether it will work or not before I spend the money to get a cluster.

The one big problem you'll have is the Oil Pressure Switch. The idiot light is a one wire hardwired and the pressure gauge is a 2 wire to PCM bussed out to the cluster.

Crap, they purged 94 and 95 wiring from Techconnect. Sorry...

You know how rare server space is to a major Corporation (sarcasm)

Doesn't surprise me. Dealer want $600 a side to do tie rod ends on our 95 "because it's too old, they no longer have the tools required to do them", I took it to a local shop, they did all 4 for $100+parts.

They just didn't want to do it I bet. Blew you out the door with some off the wall estimate and BS.

We typically won't touch anything older than 2000 now. No matter what. Too much liability. People think dealers are money trees and start blaming every little thing that's wrong with their ****box on us after we work on it. Now, I know you are different but this is the norm now.

Well some dealers . I think it came down to none of their techs were old enough to have any idea what they were looking at. All the old guys that were there have left or retired, so it's just a bunch of 20-somethings. Don't get me wrong, everyone needs to start somewhere. It's just far too easy, and far too computerized for them to get "certified" these days.

Yeah, it's that way at a lot of places. The training is not a measure of anything. Don't even get me started on ASE (Money Grab).
