Question Severe oil leak after crankshaft seal replacement

Hey everyone, my dad just had the front crankshaft oil seal replaced on his 2000 Grand caravan 3.3L V6 and less than a 100 miles later the engine has a steam of oil pouring out between the timing chain cover and block just next to the oil sending unit. My question is did they have to remove the chain cover to replace the CS oil seal ? There's no mention of it on the work performed and no chain cover gasket on the bill .
Thanks, gcn

The answer would be no. Check the 5/8 heater hose from the intake down to the timing cover next to the oil filter.
