Default Mystery Code

A recent check of the electronics error diagnostic system came up with an E100.7 code. When I looked it up the codes stopped at E100.6. Can anyone give me any info on this ? Thanks...

Never heard of it. What is the electronics error diagnostic system? What kind of code reader are you using? How are you retrieving this code?

I am going to assume cluster self diagnosis. My list also stops at 100.6 all the way through 2007 and they are all communication failures. The modules not represented by the other codes are sliding door modules, radio and hvac if you have auto temp. As long as everything is working, wouldn't worry about it.

Turn ignition key to on. Select trip on the odometer. Press and hold the odometer button in. Turn the key to off while holding the odometer button in and continue to hold for at least ten seconds. The mileage indicator will switch to the electronic error code system and read something like 5.0S (fifth generation software). Release the button and the mileage indicator will give you error codes if there are any and then also re-calibrate all of the dashboard instruments.

I figured it might be for equipment I don't have. My OBD II reader has a broken contact for the batteries and I can't find the power supply so I was also wondering if you knew how to erase the codes. I have a couple of mechanic friends but I hate asking to use the things they make their living with 'cuz I know what that's like. I guess I'll have to break down and fix the damn thing...

Hard disconnect. Disconnect both battery cables and touch them together for 5 minutes. But that will clear just about everything in every module so personally I wouldn't worry about it. You know it's there but no lights are on so just leave it be.

I just don't like error codes. I take care of my stuff.I found out how to erase them so we'll see if they come back. I know sometimes these on board devices spit up old codes or random codes so it could be just a fluke but like I say, we'll see...
