[General]: Interchangeable parts
My husband and I are getting divorce. We own a 2003 Dodge caravan together and jeep. We can sell both or I can choose to keep the 03' van. I think the 03' is a 3.3. I was gifted a 1999 Dodge caravan 3.0. Can one of these vans be a parts vehicle for the other? Are many or any fit for replacement parts on the other. I would rather have the 03' and use the 99' for parts.

If it doesn't cost you anything, sure keep it. I wouldn't put any money into it.
Already have seems to be nickel and diming me. Just did the power steering pulley. Seprentine and timing belt. Replaced the crank shaft seal that was the cause of a terrible oil leak. I currently have a question posted in the forum about my fuel pump leak. Think you could help? Or just of the opinion to junk it? I have four girl's and the 99' is my only transportation at the moment.

Look at which is in better condition, and which runs better. The 3.0s are awesomely reliable, and have few issues, the trans is a take or leave depending on how it was maintained. Parts are readily available for either at parts houses or JYs.
I own 2 older vans, for a few reasons:
1. They're cheaper and easier to work on.
2. They were in far better shape body wise than anything from the next 2 generations.
3. Parts interchange with other chrysler vehicles opening up even more options.
4. They're better on mileage, my 94 averages over 25 (3.0/3spd) my 95 averages just over 23 (3.3l/4spd).
Problem with them being, if you can't fix it yourself, it will cost you an arm and a leg to have someone do it, as most shops don't have anyone who knows how to properly work on older vehicles.
