Will factory DVD work if I replace MyGig REN?
2008 Grand Caravan with MyGig REN unit.
Can anyone tell me if the DVD will work if I replace the MyGig with an aftermarket unit?
MyGig has never worked properly when the weather warms up - it often won't turn on when the van is started. Sometimes it will pop on after driving for a long time, but often not. It's related to the heat, because it works all winter.
I'm considering replacing it with an aftermarket radio, but the Crutchfield site says all of the aftermarket radio/video units will make the factory DVD no longer work. That's the primary use of the MyGig - keeping my kids entertained.
