Default Routine Thermostat Replacment?

I have two Caravans, a 2000 and a 2006. Both have original thermostats that regulate the temperature quite nicely at 192° according to my scan tool. Should I replace them for no real reason, or leave them in? Would new thermostats have the same chance of failing as the original installed ones?
Many thanks to all.

Flip a coin and there's your answer. I change them at 100K miles unless I have problem. My last problematic t-stat was back in the 70s.

A thermostat can fail as a result of many opening/closing cycles. I had one fail where the housing broke because of the many open/close cycles and the thermostat stayed open position.

The thermostat was the original thermostat and was at least eight years old and 200K+ miles at the time.

My van wouldn't warm up and when i took the housing off the thermostat was in two pieces just like others had experienced. Its a easy fix.
