Recently on my 2012 Grand Caravan the liftgate failed to close and latch (both manually or with the fob/button). The door would close but not latch. I was on a trip and about to get on the highway from the hotel. Desperate, I rotated the latch part inside the door and that got the liftgate to close and latch. Returning home, I now find that the liftgate will not open. No response when pressing on the fob or the button inside. When I try to manually open the door, it moves out just slightly (you can hear the motor active) and then returns to a closed position.

I'm guessing maybe the open/close operation is now out of sequence since I moved that part of the latch inside the door? Any ideas about what might be going on?
