I'm looking into purchasing a 2008 Dodge Grand Caravan SXT. It has 120,000 miles with the 4.0 motor. Wondering if I should stay away from the Dodge and get a Chrysler Town and Country.

I've read that dodges go through brakes and have a lot of transmission issue.

 

They are both made by the same company and share many components. A Town and Country is just a fancy Caravan.

 

I know they are made by the same company i'm wondering is if one is more reliable and or if there is a lot of up cost to them.

 

Not only are they both Chrysler products but they are built on the same assembly line in Ontario Canada. Pretty good bet they use the same components except for cosmetics. Not 100% sure on brakes but transmissions are identical. Lot of "up cost"? Neither have stellar histories. Some have few problems, others want to find the nearest cliff.
