Hi all, first post, and first problem with the van. It is a 2013 Caravan with power sliding doors. The passenger side door does not lock or unlock using the power lock options, either the FOBIK or the buttons. I thought i could feel the lock switch move once or twice, but it may have been my imagination. Where do i start my diagnosis? I was planning on pulling the door panel to look at the linkages from the lock mechanism to the actuator, as i have read these sometimes need lube.

I have read a lot and it seems this was a huge issue with the 4th gen vans, but not the 5th gen. In fact i am having trouble finding an actuator to replace it with if it is the actuator that is bad.

Any help is appreciated. I am fairly mechanically inclined and dont mind getting dirty.

 

The power lock actuator attaches to the latch, not really any linkage to lube. Pretty common for them to go bad, they are a pain to replace.
