Constant high-pitch noise while driving
Hello,
I have a 2010 Grand Caravan, 3.3L, 60K Miles. It has been driving fine over the years other than the mandatory brake-pad replacement once in awhile.
Recently, it's developed a high-pitch whining noise starting at 20MPH and the level increases with the speed. No such noise at start-up and idles. When I take the foot off the gas-pedal, I could hear the hollowing sound. Wife says it's like listening to a plane taking off.
It seems the noise is coming from the rear end on the driver side, but not sure. I do not hear any unusual noise when I do a walk-around the van while parked.
Have done the following, but problem remains:
1 replaced all front and rear rotors and brake pads.
Thought it could be a stuck brake pad and felt it was time to replace them anyway.
2 filled up the gas-tank to full.
Thought it could be the fuel-pump as I read on this forum that a half empty tank with a fault fuel pump would cause a whining noise.
Thanks alot in advance,
Bill
