Recently, I have noticed a problem with the Dodge.It doesn't happen all the time, but occasionally you will go to start the van, in Park of course, and it will only turn over one time. So far from what I have seen you can turn the car off and back on as many time as you like. However you still only get one turn over and the engine doesn't catch.

What I have found is if you shift it until Neutral then the Van starts right up.

I have checked the battery and it seems good(12.3 Volts at rest). I do not think this is a battery/charging issue. Seems more like an ecu/signal issue. Has anyone seen this behavior before?

Anyone ran into anything like this before? The issues seems to come and go. Haven't had it happen in over 2 weeks. But when it comes it's seems t stick around for a ew days. I see this problem getting worse.

 

I'm thinking transmission range sensor. It's what tells the transmission and TCM what gear you've selected. It's mounted above the valve body in the transmission.
