I have a 2014 Grand Caravan...love the van but driving me nuts with a problem...dealer says it's functioning "as designed" but never did this prior to repair.......If I have the Floor Defrost function selected it works exactly the same way as the Floor only function. I expect a little residual air to blow out when switching to floor mode only but it really blasts out that defroster still.....has any one else had this issue? This van seems to blow through mode actuators and blend doors like candy.....

What repair was done? Who did the repair?

 

2 different dealerships, blend doors up front & rear (for rear a/c which stopped working after "circuit board repair" - which is my understanding it can't be repaired must be replaced but that's a whole other story), mode control up front, actuators for front & rear.....

 

I'd take it back and tell them they messed something up during their repair.

 

Love to except they said it is functioning as designed and can't do anything else...was hoping someone else had encountered this and had a solution

I'm sorry to hear about this. At any point during your repairs did you work with our Customer Care department and have a case open to document everything?

Yes I have...several times in fact. I can honestly say that customer care has been good to deal with but the answer makes no sense. The way customer care is handling it is by offering an extended warranty which I am ok with but really wish the problem could be resolved. Unfortunately it sounds like a design flaw even though it worked properly when I purchased it brand new. Like I said, I thought by posting on here maybe someone else had this experience and could offer some insight.
