[4th Gen : 01-07]: Transmission Pan
I have a 2005 Grand Caravan, 3.8L, 85,000 miles.
I went to do a pan drop transmission fluid and filter change, but I could not get the pan off. This would have been its first change.
I removed the bolts from 3 sides, and loosened the remaining side.
The pan stayed tight to the housing, didn't leak a drop. I tried tapping it with a hammer, no change. I tried using a putty knife between the pan and housing, but could not get the pan to separate.
Can anyone offer a suggestion as to what to do to get the pan off?
Thank you.

It is glued on with RTV from the factory. It's difficult to get off. Used a clean putty knife and worked it in on the rear/center most point until I had enough room to pry it open with a small crow bar.
It will come off (and make a huge mess.)
