02 3.3 replaced by 04 3.3
Hi, I'm new to this forum so I hope this is the appropriate place to post this. I had an 04 3.3 installed into my wife's 02 Caravan. They couldn't get it running. When I got it back, I noticed several sensors were unplugged. I have been told that I need to put the old flex-plate on instead of the new one in order for it to run, but I thought I would try to start it with the sensors plugged in. It seems to try to start but acts like it is back-firing, supporting the flex-plate argument. However there is one white connector that I can't find where to plug in. Also, I have an EGR on the 04 that I didn't have on the 02. I have a photo on my iPhone that shows this white connector, but I don't know how to upload it.
On top of all that, the technician at the dealership basically said I was pissing in the wind-that it will never work.
Any advice? Thanks in advance.

Sorry It's been so long since I posted to this thread.
I took the van to a mechanic who swapped out the flex plates. The van still won"t start. When the original installer took the van to the local Dodge dealer for diagnostics the dealer wanted to change the timing components (for another $2200). What would be the difference in the timing components? Camshaft, timing gears, firing order???
